Boyfriend jeans can be a drag when you’ve got hips and a butt, (aka curvy). They could easily look like ill-fitting, unflattering mom jeans until you add these few touches, then they might become your favorite pair.
Not too tight…or too loose
I wouldn’t recommend you buy “BF” jeans online. You would need to try them on and know if you’d need to size up or down. The idea is to get a pair that is just loose enough without looking too big. I like the Lane Bryant brand, because even though they are loose, they have some stretch, which gives them some shape.
Play around with the hem
My jeans have a straight fit, which isn’t very flattering on me, so I folded them to shape. When making the fold, don’t worry about it being too perfect. Both sides can be even but not necessarily identical.
The styling
Don’t take my word for it, but I find ripped boyfriend jeans to look edgier and more classic. Also, I tend to wear mine with sleek shoes that don’t have too much going on. Heels are my preference, however if I wear flats, I go for strappy sandals.
