An all-time favorite style habit of mine is mismatched coordination. I get to show off my creativity in bringing a look together.

The trick is to use a few color tones that are close to each other, like the army green jacket and mustard t-shirt, add a contrasting color like the shite pinstripe shorts and accessorize with hues from that contrast…the black accessories.

I tend to find black accessories boring, however I couldn’t resist the mesh booties from Zara. There’s a seductiveness I find with mesh or anything see through­­—it’s like a sexy tease.

It’s that time of year in Houston when you really have to check the weather before stepping out because one minute it could feel like spring and the next, you might think you got teleported to the North Pole. Either way, I keep a jacket handy.
