Taking Stock – Pilot

I’m constantly trying to find ways to make my blog more fun so I follow a bunch of other blogs for inspiration and one of the amazing trends I’ve seen is Taking Stock. Well, if you don’t know, taking stock is pretty much me answering to a template of questions (I wonder who came up with this…genius). I’ve wanted to start these for a while but I was doubtful if people would be bothered to know what I’m up to, then I remembered how much I love being all up in my favorite bloggers personal lives so maybe it would be fun to share some of mine. So guys, Here’s my first Taking Stock…I’m excited, are you?

Making : My new version of home-made rice krispies treats using whip cream and rice krispies. Sounds Yuck, Tastes Yum! I don’t know how I came up with the idea…probably because my apartment lacks food.
Cooking : Nothing…see above.
Drinking : A nice hot cup of Ovaltine to warm up in this merciless winter. You know what, Americans are not into Ovaltine, I have to get it at stores with international food sections…this stuff is gold back in Uganda.
Reading: Fifty Shades of Grey, now that I have seen the actors so I don’t have to paint pictures in my mind cos there’s nothing more annoying like watching a movie and the characters look nothing like what you thought in the book.
Wanting: An Iphone 6 Plus soooooo damn bad.
Looking: For a good Romantic-Thriller novel as research for writing skills, for my upcoming novel that I have been writing for the last 6 years lmao. I’m getting more serious…50 pages in.
Playing: Little Lies by Dave Barnes. I’ve just been looking for this song like crazy for the past 30 minutes. I tried to hum it on SoundHound and I got random Italian song results. Re-did it 4 times then I gave up only to type in google “la la la la these” and it came up. I’m sorry I ever doubted you google.
Deciding: if I should sacrifice all my lunch money this month and get the damn phone or painfully wait for Apple’s next big thing…God gimmi a sign!
Wishing: I could figure out a way to shoot Vlogs by myself using my DSLR. It has not worked out the last two times.
Enjoying: being in my apartment after a major de-cluttering that left so much space for me to just be!
Waiting: on some wall décor that I bought online so I can get done with re-decorating my apartment. I can’t wait to show you guys the finished look.
Liking: how I am slowly transitioning to becoming a morning person. I’ve just changed my Saturday wake up time from 3:00pm to 9:00am. If I keep like this, my New Year’s Resolutions list may be complete by May.
Loving: these beauty products (click here)
Watching: Empire!!!!!
Hoping: Jamal (Jussie Smollett) in Empire is not gay in real life and that I will bump into him at Whole Foods.
Smelling: these beautiful berry scented tea light candles that I bought at IKEA. I don’t even have to light them but I can still smell them from a distance and the pack of 24 cost like $3.
Wearing: Grey leggings, a black tank and a red turban-like hair band to keep my braids from coming all up in my face.
Following: Jussie Smollett!!!
Noticing: how lovely my skin looks after trying out these products (click here).
Admiring: How other lifestyle bloggers create HD Vlogs so easily by themselves…what am I missing?
Buying: Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Topaz. My sister hi-jacked my last one and its taking me forever to renew it.
Disliking: All this unnecessary rain…come on mehn…I just washed my car.
Giggling: at this…every damn time I watch it.
Feeling: in the mood for a new theme on my blog.
Learning: more about men’s cologne and garment sizes. It’s like a whole new world for me.
Missing: my little stubborn niece Hanifa and nephew Ismail.
