One highlighter simply isn’t enough. I’ve seen brands launch highlighter palettes and unfortunately in a collection of 6 shades, only two are wearable. Two palettes— LAURA MERCIER Magic Hour Face Highlighting Palette and PAT MCGRATH LABS Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio are among the few that won’t seem wasteful.

Laura’s palette is every girl’s dream palette. It has four distinct, super smooth shades that compliment every skin tone beautifully. The texture is not grainy or too shimmery, making it a palette that you can wear with your work makeup and still look glowy enough to create sexy nighttime looks. The bronze color especially, looks like heaven on deeper skin tones.

Pat Mcgrath’s palette is for the girl who already owns a highlighter or two and wants something more unique and unexpected. With Pat’s palette, you get a golden bronze, a yellow gold and a pink tinted shade (my fav). All three colors are soft and high quality. If you’re trying to amp up your Christmas party looks, this is the palette to buy.

The only concealer you need this holiday

Huda Kattan was not playing when she said she wanted to become the best makeup brand globally. Her new release of highlighters is nothing short of perfection. The Overachiever High Coverage Concealer has twenty inclusive shades with a matte finish that isn’t too drying and holds brilliantly under the eyes. The packaging is suited for an easy luxury-like application experience. I don’t care what how much you like your current concealer, this is a must-have.

An eyeshadow palette to conquer them all

Still on Huda Beauty, the brand has one of my favorite palettes, The Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette (which I reviewed here). The palette is a collection of matte, shimmery, glittery and duo-chrome shades that will perfect looks for the holidays, whether you want to keep it simple and neutral, or go full glam. Desert Dusk’s versatility is unmatched.

Holiday ready skin

I’ll never stop saying this, the best makeup looks start with amazing skin—amazing skin starts with a good cleanser. It’s a full coverage bottle of luxurious matte foundation that makes skin look red carpet ready. This is definitely as good as it gets regarding foundation. The matte finish should not worry your dry skin type, a good hydrating primer will give you a healthy glow (I’ve been obsessing over this TATCHA The Silk Canvas Protective Primer). The price tag is hefty which makes getting it on a discount all the better.

The only lipstick collection that suits anyone

I never look twice at a lipstick gift set because in a collection of five, three of the shades won’t work for my skin tone. NARS has curated a sleek Manic Velvet Matte Lip Pencil set with four shades that look gorgeous on all skin tones…no lie…every last one of them looks great. The lippies have a matte finish that remains soft and non-drying—one of the best matte formulas out there. This is an amazing gift to give to your makeup obsessed friend or even better, get it for yourself.

Sephora’s Exfoliating Wipes have been a constant in my routine for a while. They have a smooth side which removes make up and a gritty end that exfoliates lightly. These wipes are a great first step in taking off makeup before using your cleanser.

When the cold weather is sucking the hydration out of your skin

Winter comes with dry skin and cracked lips. The LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask is marketed as a nighttime product, but I wear it everywhere. It’s simply very hydrating and I don’t remember what chapped lips looked like since I started using this. [Side irrelevant note: try saying out loud, “chapped lips looked like” really fast].
