I finally got around to celebrating my birthday dinner…a very serious family ritual, and this time with my mum, sisters and cousin in Houston, it was more fun. We ate at one of my fav Indian restaurants, Bombay Brasserie in the cosy Rice Village. And if you’re wondering, I did the restaurant review here. There’s two things I will tell you for sure if you’re planning on attending a special event. 1) always take pictures before you eat, cos your make up and tummy…esp the tummy are still intact then. And 2) if you are team natural, do not…I repeat do not wash your hair on the day of, especially if you know you want to comb it out. Seriously, I was so not proud of my hairstyle, you and I both know that we’ve seen better on me right? *whining session over*.
I will wear this dress again in a proper shoot so you can see it in all its glory.
Oh and one more thing. My mum brought my birthday cake all the way from Uganda…in her hand luggage…lmao…when I tell you the lady has motive!!! This is why…everytime she’s coming to visit I ask her to have some made for me because for some unknown reason, you won’t find these kinds of fruit cakes being sold in America (y’all seriously have no idea what you’re missing). And since this time she would be in town around my birthday, she went all out and had them put the red white and blue icing cos my actual birthday is July 4th. Enjoy the pics.
