Even though I love the effect they give, I have never really bothered to be a faux lashes person mostly because of the process that I can’t seem to grasp. Lucky for me, my lashes are a reasonable size so a good mascara works just fine. I was recently hanging out with one of my girls and she showed me her new mascara that came as a set of two bottles, one with tiny fibers and the other as mascara. The mascara acts as a primer, then the tiny fibers attach onto the mascara forming extensions then the mascara is applied again to seal in the fibers. My biggest fear with lash glue is that it takes out your own lashes so you can imagine how impressed I was with a lash extension system that didn’t need glue.
Too Faced cosmetics has a version of this new beauty trend so I decided to try it out. This stuff is awesome! I was so excited at how much longer my lashes looked…probably double their usual length. The process is the same in terms of priming, attaching fibers then sealing. Could this be the downfall of the lash glue situation? The only down side to this product is that the fibers are so feathery and light and some will prolly enter your eyes as you apply, but the discomfort fades within a few seconds. The only thing about this trend is that you prolly won’t get the various shapes that faux lashes come in. I’m still in a much committed relationship with the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara and I add it to give my lashes some volume.
