I’m all for dating as much as you can and getting a feel of all the possible options before committing to a lifelong partner. Dating can be stressful—it can also be very eye opening.
Besides experiencing different personalities, you also feel more confident about what you’d want in a partner and most importantly, learn the red flags to look out for.
Women, we tend to over compromise right from the beginning of relationships and slide over little vices that later grow into big inconveniences we can no longer tolerate.
One quality I like in a man is genuine compassion—I like a guy who cares, whether it benefits him or not. One of the easiest ways to see this trait in men is when you meet separately and part ways at the end of the night. A guy who is genuinely compassionate will check in to make sure you got home safely.
You’ll be very surprised how many men couldn’t be bothered once the date is over. I know a guy in his late twenties who says after a date, he doesn’t call the girl for three days…THREE DAYS!!! He says, it drives the girls crazy and makes them think they aint all that and the next time he reaches out to them, they’re begging for his attention.
A more responsible friend of mine told me he calls girls to make sure they got home, not just out of respect but also to make sure they are safe. “If anything happened to her, I’d be a prime suspect because I was one of the last people around her,” he said.
So, for those of you who plan to date more in 2020, you could add this on your radar to help you filter out the men that are worth your time.
