Because the ideal time to improve your skin’s appearance is while you’re asleep, my day-time routine is quite simple compared to my night-time routine. It’s mainly centered around keeping my skin hydrated and prepping it for make-up.
I typically use two products, a cleanser and moisturizer and then rotate the cleansers depending on how I’m feeling that morning. I’ll start with my constant, the moisturizer.
Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb
You can call this my Holy Grail moisturizer. If you scroll through my beauty category, you’ll see how much I love trying out new stuff, this one however, I never let myself run out. I call it Botox in a moisturizer because it makes my face feel perky. It’s lightweight and soaks right into your face without feeling like you’re piling products. I apply my makeup right on top of it and my face looks alive all day. Find here
Too Cool For School Egg Mousse Soap Facial Cleanser
This is an easy soft cleanser meant for simple no-makeup jobs. It’s a mousse, that sort of evaporates (or melts…I can’t tell which one) off your face a few minutes after you apply it. It’s meant to hydrate and brighten your skin considering it has egg white extracts. I personally cannot confirm any significant changes, but I will tell you this, it breaks up oil and makes for a good surface wash. Find here
Tatcha Polished Classic Rice Enzyme Powder
Okay so, I’m addicted to a good scrub and some mornings, especially after a rough night, I like to reach for an exfoliating product for my face. I was initially so hyped about owning this because of all the cool stuff it does (even skin-tone, help with breakouts, hyper-pigmentation and brighten) but the insane price held me back. A smaller version was made and that’s how I got lucky. It is water activated and does an awesome job at exfoliating and buffing the dullness from your face. I like to leave it on for about five minutes before washing it off so that the amazing ingredients can absorb into my skin. Find here
Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser
If you live in the real world, you already know you can’t afford to give your face the VIP treatment every night. I tend to take my face for granted on the days I don’t wear make up and grab the first cleanser I see which can even be plain water, then decide to deal with my skin in the morning. This cleanser is what I will reach for in such a situation. It clears the face of build-up and oil, plus it has a little bit of clay which works on absorbing gunk out of pores. Find here
