This is me just accepting that summer is coming for us in full mode and as much as all the clothes and all the colors are totally my thing, my skin is not! I worry a lot about my skin cos it easily gets discolored and then there’s the mighty oiliness that it is. So I recently went snooping around some of my favorite stores and here’s six awesome beauty products things I found.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

I have seriously been eyeing this cleanser for about 4 months but I always had a cleanser on hand. You know how they say “make up melting cleansers,” yea…this is one of them. I love how quickly it breaks up foundation and mascara while remaining gentle on your skin and eyes. It’s really good this one.

Korres Wild Rose Daily Brightening & Refining Buff Cleanser

Korres is one of my favorite face brands cos they keep it natural in terms of chemicals. Their wild rose cleanser is a catch cos it’s 3 in 1 with brightening toning and exfoliating properties. It has those tiny round balls that act as a scrub for your skin, hence taking away any stubborn make up that was left behind from cleansing. I was especially looking for something that had brightening properties cos the sun doesn’t spare my skin tone and products that have rose oil or rice ingredients are great for brightening. This cleanser has both!

Supergoop! Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50

So since I’m not the primer wearing type…mostly because I forget to apply it prior to my make up, I invest more in post-makeup oil control products. This is my first time trying out Supergoop products and I think they just got picked up by Sephora too. It does exactly what it says…set make up, control oil and gives protection from the sun. This is a summer must have that you keep in your purse!

Aldo Floral Earrings

I loved these earrings from the first time I set my eyes on them in Aldo but I wasn’t willing to pay $20. So when I found them on sale for almost half the price, I didn’t think twice. They are so unique for the perfect statement.

Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Pink Steam

Okay so Marc Jacobs replaced his old lip-gloss line with this new collection. This color was the first to catch my eye, but I knew that it would never look nice on my tone cos of how bright it was. So I tried on most of them leaving this out. Then decided to try it on for fun at the end. How about it looked the best on me. I’ve been looking for a light pink lip gloss that is not too sheer or too bright. Guys, this is it! I won’t lie, it’s not cheap but it’s worth it.

Nars Lip Pencils in Matte Velvet Cruela and Satin Rikugien

And since my birthday is coming up, I am currently accepting gifts. Sephora has already won first place with these two lip pencils. And they got it right cos the red Cruela is already one of my favorite lip pencils. As for the satin one, I am yet to try it. Follow my Instagram @fabsculture to see the results.
