Hey there! So I thought about starting these posts where I share some of my cool…sometimes boring outfits of the week with you. I have been seeing some of my fav bloggers doing this and I live for those posts. I initially was afraid of getting involved with such a commitment but you can never know how something is going to work out until you actually go for it, right?
I’m going to separate this from my actual style posts because first and foremost these pictures will be taken with an iPhone, by my unprofessional photographers aka my classmates, meaning they prolly won’t be of top notch quality.
Ps. There’s about a 110% chance you will not see office wear here.
Monday
Even I laughed at myself when I left my house for school looking like I was headed to the beach. But that’s what college is all about…finding yourself…maybe I want to spend the rest of my life at the beach. Dress from TJ Maxx, shoes are Keneth Cole Reaction (aka my bestest, most loved shoes) and lipstick is a mix of Laura Mercier’s Black Orchid and Urban Decay’s Rapture.
Tuesday
I am the biggest fan of Leggings and a cool tee. The biggest issue with leggings is how transparent they look when you wear them. My advice, buy a size bigger, so they don’t have to stretch out that much. Also, I usually get my leggings at Forever 21 cos they sell the solid ones meant for being worn by themselves. Macy’s has lots of cool boy graphic tees. Yes, I got this in the guy’s section. The sunglasses are currently in Aldo and the lipstick is my fav red called Icon from Hourglass cosmetics.
Wednesday
Not my favorite day of the week considering the fact that I have to be up by 6.am. Funny enough I’m not the biggest fun of peplum things because they got all too popular. For some reason though, when I was decluttering my closet, I held onto this skirt from Target (and a similar black one). The tee is from Forever 21 and leopard print shoes are Steve Madden.
Thursday
Once upon a time I used to wear Jeans 3 out of 5 times a week. Now, at most once in a week or two. I’m particularly in love with the Old Navy Rockstar Jeans. They are stretchy and work for all body shapes especially curvier figures. I have this weird obsession of wearing mostly white tops with jeans. The combo works so perfectly for me. The airy loose button down shirt is from Simply Be. Ps. I only wear skinny jeans…because I’m all about that Base…plus they shape better.
Friday
I am completely guilty of being one of those people that look through their closet full of clothes and still claim, “I have nothing to wear.” Today morning was one of those days and when I tell you it took me 40 minutes to decide…you’d think I was going to come up with something more creative. Instead I ended up with an oversized Oldnavy leopard print button down and ripped denim shorts from Forever 21. I paired the outfit with my African Beaded sandals that I bought while visiting Uganda.
