When 2020 started, I had no vision board. I felt blank, like I just wanted to deal with whatever life threw at me—little did I know.

I think about how I will look back at this year, five, or ten years from now—dear God, I hope I don’t look back on it as one of the good ones. Like so many people, I’ve learnt how to love more, express myself more and be mindful about how I treat others.

Some people are smooth sailing their way through quarantine, while so many others continue to struggle. More than anything, I’ve had to learn to be kinder to myself.

You may not come out of this with a new business idea, or the body of your dreams. As a friend from my Instagram stated, sometimes the best you can do is survive.

I just want you to know that it’s okay to simply come out on the other end…alive. I know that’s how I hope to come out, and that will be good enough.
