Chilled Mango-Strawberry Salsa

I’ve been craving a chilled mango salsa, especially now that mangoes are in season. This dish might just become my staple summer side, complementing everything from rice to tacos and even steak. The combination of sweet mango and strawberry, zesty lime, fragrant cilantro, crisp peppers, and tangy Tajin blend harmoniously, creating a burst of flavors in every bite. It’s a refreshing and vibrant taste that effortlessly pairs with many dishes.

While I love the process of meal preparation—chopping, mincing, and seasoning—sometimes with recipes requiring extensive chopping like this one, I opt for pre-chopped ingredients to simplify the process. This makes cooking a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Uuuhhh don’t forget to send me pics when you make yours. Okay, lets get into it.

easy mango strawberry salsa

Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup diced strawberries
  • 2 mangos, diced
  • ½ jalapeño, seeded and finely diced
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ½ teaspoon Tajin seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Begin by preparing all your ingredients. Ensure the strawberries, mangos, jalapeño, cilantro, and red onion are diced and chopped to your desired size.
  2. Mixing: In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries, mangos, jalapeño, chopped cilantro, and diced red onion. Gently toss the ingredients together to ensure even distribution.
  3. Seasoning: Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture. Sprinkle with Tajin seasoning for a tangy kick. Use more or less depending on your taste preference.
  4. Chilling: Once mixed, cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. This step is crucial for achieving the best taste!
  5. Serve: After chilling, give the salsa a final stir. Serve it chilled alongside your favorite dishes such as tacos, grilled chicken, fish, or even as a refreshing snack with tortilla chips.

Enjoy the burst of flavors in every bite of this delightful mango strawberry salsa! Adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño according to your preference.

And of course, here’s a visual.
