Now you know I’m not the one to go blowing my money on ready-to-wear African designer clothes unless I am absolutely blown away because honestly, getting them tailored is always cheaper.
I had been eyeing this particular number by Simma Africa from the moment I saw it being shared on Bold Kampala’s Instagram page.
This is one of those dresses you can jazz-up whichever way you like. I knew exactly how I wanted to create my look. Hood-on, black booties, dark-lip and some long hair.
And if you’re not fashionably unapologetic like myself, you can take the hood off, wear some leggings and switch the heels for some flats then head to your friend’s BBQ.
Bold is a retail outlet founded in Kampala with various collections from African designers. I must say my favorite thing about the store is how they’ve grown to embrace the African curves.
A lot of the clothes in-store range from a medium to x-large. There was a time when the biggest size in the store was a small…someone must have told them about my twitter rant haha.
What I am Wearing
Dress: Simma Africa Afro Print Hoodie (Purchased at Bold Kampala)
Shoes: Vince Camuto (similar here)
Beaded bracelets: Exposure Africa (Details here)
Hoping this month will bring you blessings,
Always…B
