Accessory Play

Accessory play is a term I use to define the art of mixing up different accessories to take your look to the next level. I personally do not own a complete jewelry set because I take pride in mixing up my accessories to complement each other. I love a good bag and shoe combo but you will not find me wearing an earring and necklace combo that’s for sure.

This is one of those looks where I go matchy matchy but in a clever way. I have a necklace and bag combo, plus a shoe and sunglasses combo.

Before I proceed, can we just take a moment to applaud the fact that I am wearing a jumpsuit!!! Do you know how hard it is for curvy women to find a jumpsuit that fits right?

The jumpsuit does not exactly scream spring, but the accessories do. This is how to make your non-season clothes look in-season.

The necklace and bag are a very bold color, so I picked a shoe that even though was dressy, remained on the neutral side, sort of a white gold that also blends in with the stripes on the jumpsuit. This way, there is no fight for power. You have the black and neutral background and the coral pop of color.

Where would I wear this

Casual Fridays and errand Saturdays (without the heels of course). There’s nothing wrong with looking this trendy while shopping for groceries and taking your car to the drive through carwash.
