I am glad to announce that my peaceful protest to the merciless cold has come to an end! The suns out, the stores are now more colorful and even though it’s raining like cray in Houston, at least I don’t have to wear a jacket…yep!
About this outfit, you know I used to be afraid of white clothes, because some insecure thot said they make you look bigger. I’m all for “wear whatever you like and rock your badei cos life’s too damn short”.
Here’s the trick with clothes that don’t shadow. Wear styles that are more flattering and looser fitting if you’re on the curvier side. For example this dress. Although it’s loose, the pleats at the bottom give it an A-line shape, yes? If you like a little more defined shape you can add a waist belt.
Also, hold back on the accessories so that your outfit doesn’t have too much going on. This is one of those dresses you can dress up or down. I went for black booties and orange coral studs. You could also experiment with a long necklace and gladiator sandals.
And finally for my Houston Lovers, these shots were taken at the Houston Water wall on Post Oak. I literally live 5 minutes from this place and I had no idea it existed till I was looking for a theme location for this look. It’s basically a very very tall wall with water falling down…such an amazing site to relax. I especially love the trees that are lined up as you walk to the wall. As you can see, the pictures taken inside the water wall are blurry because it’s very misty..and I literally came out wet! And thennnnnn, while taking pictures by the trees, this massive thunderstorm came out of no where…I got home dripping. But, shout out to my girl Brenda, we managed to get some cool shots amidst all the weather drama.
Hope you like…xoxo Buba.
