Pretty Dress?

It has taken me forever to post this outfit…I don’t know why…but here we are. A lot of people seemed to like this “dress”, my sisters even threatening to take it from me. We’ll lets clear a few things first, this is actually a skirt and a top…lol sorry to disappoint you.

My mum and I went shopping and being the maxi skirt addict she is, I had to keep her company as she perused through the endless isle. Now if you’ve known me for a minute you know I’m a sucker for black and white clothes…seriously I will buy it if it’s black and white. So she pulled out this skirt to take a look at it and once I saw it, I knew I wanted one. I rarely buy maxi anything but this…yess! It looked so elegant and pretty. We both ended up buying it. I teamed it with a black top so it could look like a dress. What I love the most about it is that it can look glamorous and still be super comfi…two words that rarely work together. I wore it to my classmates wedding whose photography I did (see here) and I was able to blend in well, yet still having the freedom to comfortably move around taking pictures.

For a minute there I had lost all hope in shopping at Burlington and most of those other stores that don’t offer online shopping options, typically because of all the searching and digging you have to do but this skirt has restored my faith in the store and I will be checking up on them once in a while.
Happy Mid-Week
