This (being M.I.A) is what happens when you go back to your hometown. Everyone has plans for you at all times. My blog’s been pretty silent but my IG, Twitter and Snapchat have been lit with personal ventures.

This is a post I’ve been meaning to share but had lost the pictures. Now that I found them, lets dive in.

I had wanted to own faux fur sandals for a while, however, I couldn’t get my hands on ones that I really liked.

That was until I found this lady wearing the cutest fluffy slippers and she told me she’d made them herself. The light-bulb moment hit me and now I own these showstoppers.

What to get…

A pair of comfi heels. You’re going to love wearing these shoes, so get heels like the Calvin Klein vable sandals that can stay on the dance floor all night. You’ll also need a feather boa and “shoe-glue” from either Micheals or Amazon.

How to…

This DIY should be done outside since feathers will be flying about everywhere.

Cut off the end of the boa so that the string can’t be seen. If you use shoe-glue, you shouldn’t worry about the project failing. Be sure to apply the glue on both ends of the strap so the boa holds firmly on both sides.

Press the string to the shoe-strap to make sure it sticks firmly. You can double up the boa if you want a thicker finish.

Trim the edges of the boa to tame it and give it some shape.

The feathers on the shoe will shade after a while (maybe a year or two). You can take off the shaded boa and replace it with a brand new one.

Tadaa…all done…Rock on!!!
