My friend Gina, who you should know by now or click here, graduated this weekend with a Masters in Law, focusing on…petroleum? Okay I didn’t get that exactly right (I know, I’m a bad friend) but, she’s going to be one of those lawyers who work for an oil and gas company…Congs Girl! I had these pictures taken while attending her super fun grad party.
About the pictures that came out blurry, it was kinda dark and my friend who helped me shoot was using my camera for the first time so things were bound to happen. Although I wasn’t the one in focus, she took some pretty shots…enough for you to get the idea.
I’m not high on wearing more than one bright color at a time, although I have wanted to blog about a few tricks on how to win the “pop of color” game cos let’s be honest, some people take it a tad too far. If you’re one of those who could use a little help, here’s one of my favorite tricks. Use 2 bright colors at a time and tone the rest down with something dark or neutral. Case in point, my top, shoes and necklace are loud, so I toned it down with a black skirt and bag. My second trick is to always tie the look together so you don’t look like you’re doing the most just like I matched my necklace with my shoes. Accessories are one of the easiest ways to help you tie your look together, so take advantage of that.
Finally, I just wanted to point out my love for that skirt and bag. If I could, I would wear that skirt everywhere because it makes me feel festive and I’m always ready for happy moments. As for the bag, I usually find black bags boring but I especially loved this one because of its unique pattern that gave it that extra cheese, setting it apart from the rest. A black purse is always good to have and I found my perfect match.
