The past week was easily one of the craziest weeks of my life. However, somewhere between not one, not two, but three emergency room visits, I was able to getaway and enjoy my birthday over the weekend.
Turns out there’s a very long list of drugs I’m allergic to…including drugs that treat allergic reactions…lol…did I mention I’m a pharmacy major…the irony.
I told you I was going to jump in a lake right? So on Sunday, my crew and I drove down to Seabrook, Texas for a mini boat cruise and my oh my, did we have the time of our lives.
We started off with lunch at the Villa Capri, a breathtakingly beautiful family owned Italian restaurant. The property is set by the lake, with a magnificent garden, one that you would read about in a Romeo and Juliet tale.
Endeavor Marina is only a mile away, and there, our speed boat awaited us. Shane, who rents out his boat was happy to take us around Clear Lake, right before we each had a go on the tube…major adrenaline guys!
Clear Lake is a like town of it’s own…on water. You can actually use your boat to ride to a bar for a drink, hit up a lake-house party or spend your afternoon fishing. It’s amazing.
I live for the city life but getaways like this make me second guess myself…watching the sun set onto calm waters, an ice cold drink only a sip away and a leaping dolphin in a few feet. I could do this more often.
Enjoy the photos and video…and thank you for the birthday love!
