Hello my loves. Here I am, embarking on a softly orchestrated return to this, my most beloved corner of the internet. When I first embarked on this blogging journey, it was to nurture my creativity amidst the whirlwind life of a pharmacy school student. Gradually and gracefully, my content morphed from petite poems to fashion narratives, and now, I simply weave together the vibrant threads of my life’s highlights, sharing what intrigues me.
The online presence of my blog has gently quieted in recent years, as I worked on my personal journey towards growth. From the tender age of four until twenty-seven, I was a lifelong student, and when you’ve walked the scholarly path as extensively as I have, a distinct rite of passage unveils itself when the last chapter is turned. Many folks go through this in their early twenties, where blunders, detours, and obstacles are seen as the gentle struggles of growth. But not in my case. I was a grown twenty-seven year old learning to adult.
Funny thing, even today on Sundays, I sometimes wake up thinking, “Wait, did I forget to turn in an assignment?” Silly, right? The idea that homework or an upcoming test is no longer breathing down my neck still feels new. Student life was a wild ride, especially the last four years. The emotional trauma wounds are still very much there. Adjusting to a new life has definitely thrown some curveballs and let me tell you, navigating those waters has been intense. But I’m here, I didn’t back down.
And hey, I didn’t vanish! If you’re keeping up with me on Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been all about the cute pics and reels. But deep down, I’m a writer at heart. This space wasn’t born for social media stardom, but as a haven for words to inspire. This space is for those pieces you’ll read during your lunch break, the quirky tales that’ll have you chuckling at your desk, and the mouthwatering descriptions that’ll lead you straight to a restaurant’s doorstep? That’s the vibe I’m all about.
As the seasons changed this year, I pondered giving this blog a fresh name when I was ready to return. A small part of me craves something new, but the bigger part clings to FabsCulture—the name I dreamed up one sleepy night in a college library study session. Only time will tell.
The blogging world is evolving, folks want visual quick-fixes that last no more than thirty seconds. But one thing about me, I never came into this for the likes. So, nope, I’m not expecting a stadium of fans cheering me on. I’m back here for me, to let my creative flag fly high. It started as an escape and now it’s an invitation to share what sparks my soul. As I grow, so will the stories. No pressure, just good reads. And hey, for those who love visuals, I’ve got reels from my Instagram stash too.
I live in Houston, and the buzz of this vibrant city runs in my veins. My tales will echo with its energy, and I hope they nudge you to uncover your own local gems, wherever you are.
