I had the pleasure of dining at Oyster Reel Bar, a charming eatery nestled in the heart of Boston that captures the essence of the New England dining scene.
What we ate…
On the cocktail menu, our server recommended the mocktail version of the Painkiller cocktail. It omitted the Real McCoy 3-year rum but retained the vibrant flavors of pineapple, orange, creme de coconut, and a sprinkling of ground nutmeg. It was a refreshing and tropical taste experience.
The Lobster Roll at Oyster Reel Bar is a Boston culinary experience that you simply cannot miss.
This creation is made with succulent lobster meat, the rich flavors of drawn butter, within a perfectly toasted bun and a side of crispy chips. I had mine served hot and it’s mouthwatering-ly good.
The Spicy Tuna features tender pieces of tuna with crispy shallots and elevated by the zesty kick of yuzu aioli. Each bite is an unforgettable experience.
The Margherita Pizza is crafted with fresh mozzarella, fragrant basil, and a San Marzano tomato sauce, this pizza showcases the essence of simplicity done right. The quality of the ingredients shines through, offering a taste of Italy in the heart of Boston.
We tried to adhere to the restaurant’s booking guidelines by making a reservation in advance of our visit. However, we encountered some inconsistency when the hostess informed us that they couldn’t accommodate groups of six or more. We decided to try our luck with a walk-in visit.
It was a weekday evening when we arrived and to our delight, we found an array of vacant seats right by the rail, offering a charming view of Fan Pier Marina and settled in for what would become an enjoyable dinner experience.
