I’d look forward to partying all weekend, now I look forward to sleeping in. I worry, my husband is out there looking for me, and my ass is home, sleeping.
I’ve learned to make the most out of my weekends to recharge as much as possible because burn-out is real. So besides taking that much needed daytime nap that I fantasize about during the week, I also make an effort to leave home and find things that will stimulate my mind and body. And what better way to do so than taking a nature walk—Americans found a fancy name for it…hiking.
Hiking feels like a getaway into the countryside woods only this time, it’s a quick 10-minute drive from home.
Fabletics sent me a set of active wear and I took it out to play at one of my favorite hike trails, Houston Arboretum & Nature Centre. I’ve always wanted a red workout-set and the paprika hue hugged my skin-tone beautifully. The brand has so many designs and colors, the quality is top notch and they have something for every personality.
I agree with many other reviews about the fit, you’re better off finding your perfect one by sizing up, especially if you’re curvy. I did just that and I loved how my leggings felt fitting, but not overstretched to make the color pale. The bra was a winner for me—I also sized up on this one. It doubles as a crop-top since the band is large, giving more coverage and support at the back if you’re busty. The fabric is stretchy yet firm, so there’s more hold and I don’t have to wear a work-out bra for added support.
Perhaps the most modern bit about Fabletics active wear is their hidden pockets. Most of the tops and bottoms have them. My iPhone Plus fit perfectly with its protective case and my leggings didn’t feel stretched out.
This is a brand to try if you’re looking for functional activewear that doesn’t look like your average workout clothes. Check out their newest collection HERE.
